Since the introduction to Fire Safety Regulations in 2005 and Company Emergency Response Team (CERT) requirements, significant number of people in the workplaces have been trained to handle fires and other workplace emergencies. Early Response within first few minutes of an incident is critical and key in halting the unfolding of disasters. Statistics have shown that a number of workplace emergencies were effectively brought under control by CERT before the arrival of SCDF. The Business communities have recognised the importance of CERT training methodologies in the prevention and management of incidents.
