Vidacare
Established in 2001, Vidacare Corporation is the developer of a broad technology platform that is defining the field of intraosseous (inside the bone) medicine. Current applications include vascular access, emergency and disaster medicine, oncology and spinal surgery. Vidacare’s focus on enhancing clinical efficacy, patient safety and comfort, and reducing complications and their associated costs, has resulted in its devices becoming the recognized technology standard. Privately held, the company is based in San Antonio, Texas, and its products are marketed in over 50 countries worldwide.

The EZ-IO® Intraosseous Infusion System
is a complete solution for immediate vascular access — whether you’re facing difficult vascular access challenges or need immediate intraosseous access for critical situations and life-threatening emergencies.
EZ-IO provides the medical professional immediate vascular access to the central circulation within seconds, delivering medications, intravenous fluids and blood products to adult and pediatric patients alike. With a specially designed cutting IO needle and small power driver, the EZ-IO allows the clinician complete control — avoiding the use of force. EZ-IO provides rapid, smooth entry into the bone’s medullary cavity, creating an immediate conduit to the central circulation.
The EZ-IO Intraosseous Infusion System is the leading choice for intraosseous access across multiple health care settings, and is used by 90 percent of US advanced life support ambulances, over half of US Emergency Departments, and the US Military.
EZ to use, EZ to train and EZ to maintain, EZ-IO is the preferred choice of intraosseous access for medical professionals and the best method for gaining immediate vascular access…when you need it.

OnControl
The development of the OnControl® Aspiration System by Vidacare for bone marrow aspirations is the first effort in decades to improve the safety, control, and comfort of the aspiration procedure. Expanding upon Vidacare's EZ-IO technology, the OnControl Aspiration System, commercially available in the U.S. and in many international markets since 2007, meets the needs of hematology/oncology patients and clinicians by combining a lithium powered driver with a specially designed, patented needle set to obtain marrow.
By providing greater ease and rapid insertion of the needle set, the FDA-cleared System contributes to reduced levels of patient pain. Early data from aspiration needle insertions using the OnControl System reflects a median pain score of 2.0 (scale of 0-10), with only seven percent of patients scoring pain at a level above 6.0.
